Acronis Cyber Infrastructure: creating a backup storage

Step 1: Create a bucket in Impossible Cloud Console

Create a bucket in your Impossible Cloud Storage account without any additional options.

It is absolutely necessary to create a bucket without the Versioning option - please make sure not to mark the "Enable Versioning" checkbox. The Versioning cannot be disabled once it's been enabled for a bucket. It could be Suspended but Acronis does not support such buckets and you might face with incorrect storage usage calculation!

Step 2: Install/Deploy Acronis Cyber Infrastructure

Install or deploy Acronis Cyber Infrastructure in your environment according to the instructions provided in the Acronis Cyber Infrastructure documentation.

Step 3: Create Backup Storage

In the Acronis Cyber Infrastructure console, click "Create backup storage" and select "Public cloud" as the backup destination.

Step 4: Configure Nodes

Configure nodes in the Acronis Cyber Infrastructure console by following the instructions in the Acronis Cyber Infrastructure documentation.

Step 5: Select "AuthV4 Compatible (S3)"

Select "AuthV4 Compatible (S3)" as the storage type in the Acronis Cyber Infrastructure console.

Step 6: Configure Parameters

Configure the storage parameters in the Acronis Cyber Infrastructure console according to the information provided in your Impossible Cloud Storage console.

Step 7: Set Up Storage Policy

Set up the storage policy in the Acronis Cyber Infrastructure console by following the instructions in the Acronis Cyber Infrastructure documentation.

Step 8: Configure DNS

Configure DNS settings in the Acronis Cyber Infrastructure console according to the instructions in the Acronis Cyber Infrastructure documentation.

Step 9: Enter Your Acronis Account Details

Enter your Acronis account details in the Acronis Cyber Infrastructure console as per the instructions in the Acronis Cyber Infrastructure documentation.

Step 10: Complete The Configuration

Click "Create" in the Acronis Cyber Infrastructure console.

Step 11: Add Acronis Cyber Infrastructure as a Backup Location

Add Acronis Cyber Infrastructure as a backup location according to the instructions in the Acronis Cyber Infrastructure documentation.

Step 12: Protect your workloads by Acronis Cyber Protect
